Also, here's another mini-site I'm working on: NG BBS Post Previewer (not really functional yet, and I have a slightly updated version but there are no major changes so I won't bother uploading it :P)

I don't know how many of you remember (or even saw) my old achievement generator site, but it was quite popular for a while. Unfortunately the server I hosted it on died or something, and I was too lazy to set up the site elsewhere.

Now however have I done not only that, but I have also redesigned it :) It's not finished, but I had hopes of being able to release it before I go to bed (it's now 4.30AM here ^^, ) and I figured that it's good enough.

Well, I were never really gone, just very limited: I used 'mobile broadband' for a little while before I had the choice of either sending it back and pay nothing for it, or keeping it for a minimum of 18 months and pay like $25 a month for something that I would barely use after I got regular broadband. That was an easy choice, especially since school started again and I could use the computers there to satisfy my addiction to NG a few times a week.

Anyhow, nearly five months after I moved into my apartment I finally have broadband!

...That is all, move along.

Why hello there :)

I haven't been on here as much the last 3-4 weeks, since it will take about a month more for me to get broadband in my apartment (a certain Swedish tele/tv/broadband company is upgrading the network here, and it should have been finished already before I moved in this July, let's just hope they keep the current timeplan..) and the "mobile broadband" that I used until somewhat recently I sent back because I had the option to either do that or bind myself to it for another 18 months (not a very tough decision, seeing as I most likely wont use it at all after I get regular broadband) :/

So anyhow, I can still access NG and use some features through my mobile phone (browse and read PM's, not much more though :[ ), and since I started school again I can use their computers but I usually don't have very much time for this when I'm there. So, now you know the reason for my absence, whether you care or not ;P

Speaking of school; I nowadays study programming for computer games at Sweden's equivalent to college (at least I think that's it), so for the three years ahead I will get closer to the work that I've dreamt of since I was about 6-7 :) We do programming in C++, but I will make sure to use the knowledge I get there to make some kick-ass flash games as well ;)

I have saved the best for last: Cheat2Win was voted the #5 game of all of August! :D

This is by far my biggest accomplishment yet I would say. Winning a monthly prize on NG is something I've dreamt of since I first started making Flash but that I doubted that I would ever actually do. So, this is basically a dream coming true! That award certificate will definitely get the best spot on my wall ;D

I have received a few PM's lately from a certain someone who has made a similar a game to my Cheat2Win, and who claims that I should have scanned through the Internet before making my game to make absolutely sure that it was completely original.

Considering the time I took to write him this reply, I figured that I should share it with the rest of NG as well for teh lulz (out of respect, I have left out his name, if anybody wants to know who he is you should be able to find that out through the clues given below though :P):

What you seem to be forgetting is that I never claimed that my game was 100% original. What I do say is that I came up with the general idea on my own, and I added more stuff that I came up with on my own to it. See the difference? What you even more seem to be forgetting is that flash games rarely have completely original concepts.

I have put together this scenario in which I do what I, based on what you have said, should have done. Let's see if you think that sounds reasonable:

On the bus home from a rough day in school knugen came up with a cool idea for a flash game, in which you had to cheat to beat the game. Eager to get started with his new game he opens up Flash directly when he comes home. "But wait!", he thinks and opens up his browser, "What if some n00b already had this idea and made an awfully crappy game of it!!". To his despair he finds that there is indeed a game with roughly the same base concept as the one he had in mind. It was called "The Cheating Game", it had a 2.4 score on NG. The author obviously didn't know much about Flash: his game was full of glitches and it was awfully ugly. knugen's urge to rip his own eyes out grew larger and larger, until he couldn't take it anymore and he shut the game down. Devastated that somebody else already had made a game that would wear a resemblance to the game knugen had in mind, he dyed his hair black and sat down in the corner of his room where he cried endlessly and cut his own wrists.

Eventually he pulled his act together and made a game where the objective was to collect lol-energy by tickling 53 space beavers in two minutes. The game was bound to fail, as opposed to his idea of a Cheating-game, but hey; at least it was original!

Now I ask you, do you think that knugen made the right choice?

Now, notice how I put down a decent amount of time trying to explain this as clearly as I possibly can to you. The least you can do is to actually read and think about it, a reply on this that is as retarded as your last PM's will result in me sending this exact same PM again (this procedure will be repeated for as long as you insist on being retarded).

It's not finished, you can't win or lose, but apart from that I think that all the features of the real game are present. Don't think there are any glitches either :)

Unfortunately a lot of glitches has been showing up in very short time in my game Cheat2Win. Therefore I'm making another news post dedicated to the game, but here I want solely glitch reports (any other discussion about the game goes here), as detailed as you can please.

I have made a few updates on the game now and think that I at least got the bigger glitches reported, I'll keep this open still though in case anything else turns up.
